What is Daymaster?
Daymaster is an AI-powered Chinese metaphysics reading app. It computes two classical systems — Bazi (八字, the Four Pillars of Destiny) and Zi Wei Dou Shu (紫微斗数, Purple Star Astrology) — and reads them in synthesis to explain your nature, your timing, and the decade ahead.
What is a Day Master?
The Day Master (日主) is the heavenly stem of your birth-day pillar — the anchor element of your whole Bazi chart. Everything in a Bazi reading is interpreted in relation to it: which elements support you, which drain you, and how your timing flows.
Is Daymaster accurate?
Charts are computed by a versioned, master-calibrated engine and use true solar time (corrected from your birth longitude, with an Equation-of-Time adjustment) — the detail most other tools get wrong. Accuracy of the chart depends most on the precision of your birth time and place.
Do I need my exact birth time?
A precise birth time gives the most accurate chart, because the hour pillar and several Zi Wei palaces depend on it. Daymaster still produces a meaningful reading with an approximate time and corrects clock time to true solar time using your birthplace.
What is the difference between Bazi and Zi Wei Dou Shu?
Bazi (Four Pillars) reads the inner-cause layer — energy, personality, and potential, anchored by your Day Master. Zi Wei Dou Shu reads the outer-effect layer — specific life events across twelve palaces. Daymaster synthesizes the two rather than showing two disconnected charts.
How is this different from Western astrology?
Western astrology is built on the positions of planets along the zodiac. Bazi and Zi Wei Dou Shu are built on the Chinese solar/lunar calendar, the Five Elements, and the heavenly stems and earthly branches — a different system with its own logic of timing, compatibility, and life events.
Is my birth data private?
Your account and your charts are private to you. Readings are stored with your account so you can come back to them; they are not shared publicly unless you explicitly create a share link.
How are the readings generated?
The chart itself (pillars, palaces, fortune curve, event scoring) is computed deterministically by Daymaster’s own engine. The written narrative is then produced by AI, grounded strictly in that computed chart — so the prose explains your actual chart rather than generic descriptions.
